I know it's been a very long time since I made any postings on this blog.  I want to personally say 'thank you' for visiting this blog page and as well showing your #DisneySide by playing our simulations over at Themagical.nl !

:: Happy 25th Anniversary DCA ::

February 8, 2001 was the official date when 'Disney's California Adventure' park opened in Anahem, California. Within walking distance of the original Disneyland Park Resort, it was quite an undertaking as it was themed of sights of the state of California.

25 years later, this park had major theme changes and newer ride attractions were added and as well later rethemed.

As we look back on the wonderful ride attractions that Disney created for this unquie theme park, we added some of those wonderful attractions on our website. You can play our unofficial simulations that came from DCA.

Starting with our dubbed at the time of the internet was changing over to #HTML5 our very own 'First Ever HTML5 simulation of it's kind on the internet' .... SOARIN'. 

Even though this simulation ride attraction is based off the 'Walt Disney World' ride layout, it was imported from Disney's California Adventure park for it's "Year Of A Million Dreams" promotion to be added to EPCOT theme park.

Grizzly River Rapids simulation was Themagical's first ever water ride attraction.  It was such a delight for our visitors when we introduce this particular simulation.

It was greatly received and it's been one of most played simulations on Themagical's website.

Another great ride attraction over at Disney's California Adventure where you take a expedition raft tour of the mountain range of the great Grizzy Bear rock work, lush tree landscapes, and the rough water rapids that you know you'll be getting WET!

It's a great welcome to be relief of the heat during the summers in California.

Join Woody, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear, and all the toys by playing their carnival games! 
 
Presenting Disney's California Adventure 'Toy Story Midway Mania' is another ride attraction where guests are shrunk down to a size of a toy to play in Andy's bedroom in a carnival playset style shooter game.

This is another 'first of its kind simulation' by using #HTML5 coding without the need of Adobe Flash Player.  Most of your smartphones, tablets, gaming platforms systems, and web browsers can handle the HTML5 coding.

:: Reighard's Personal Life Update ::

I had some personal milestones myself as I became a father of 2 in 2020/2022 , it's been a blessing as I entered fatherhood which at times made it difficult for me to write on here and as well the challenging times of COVID-19 situation and post-COVID.

I did whatever I could to help Martijn (founder/webmaster/simulator creator of Themagical.nl) while I did the night shift mode durning the nights with graphic design and research.  He understood the challenges of being a parent and the little time you have for personal time.

I was helping behind the scenes whenever I could and definitely grateful for my assistance.

:: TMNEWSIM: A new project: Droomvlucht Simulation, Efteling ::

Currently working on a passion project: a fully playable HTML5 simulation of the legendary Efteling darkride, Droomvlucht. From the spiraling heights of the Castles in the Sky to the glow of the Troll Swamp, I’m recreating the magic one line of code at a time. It’s been a challenge getting the unique suspended ride physics just right, but the dream is slowly coming to life!

Happy New Year 2020! Dominator is now available

Hello Friends!

Wishing you all a happy and healthy 'New Year'!  Thank you for all your support in playing our simulations over these years! 

It's amazing that 20 years has gone by since coming online on December 1, 2000! We are very excited on what the coming future holds as we move forward from Adobe Flash to HTML5 simulations.

Releasing today on January 1, 2020 , Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown Pennsylvania USA "Dominator" space blasting tower simulation is "Now Available" for your enjoyment!

We want to thank all our beta testers who helped us test this newest #HTML5 simulation. They helped us find bug issues/glitches and of course made some suggestions to help this simulation better.

Starting on January 1, 2020 , we announced a new simulation will be coming soon with the tagline: "Project 2020".   At this time, we are currently looking over our options on what will be a great simulation from your suggestions that we've got over the years.  

We will be considering all suggestions and ideas for possible future simulations for Themagical.  We are also looking for a better cms and arcade feature option as we are moving forward away from Adobe Flash and using HTML5 for all future simulation development.

DorneyOnline Newest Simulation: Dominator

Hello Friends!

I know it's been a long time since my last posting back in October.  There were things that happened to me personally and as well issues with hard-drives crashed.  More about that in later in the post.

Hard - drive crashes: 3 week delay !

Martijn had one of his hard-drive crash on him....yes you guess correctly...the main hard-drive where this simulation was stored on!

Luckily, he was able to restore the drive but had to wait for 3 weeks in order to have it fixed!  That was great news for sure!  He resumed development where he left off before the hard-drive crashed on him which was another great news to hear.

Usually hard-drive crashes are pretty much useless and almost all data is gone!  But gracefully, this hard-drive crash didn't loose any data and was able to be fixed!  Talk about a close call on this particular situation! PHEW! (*wiping off sweat from my forehead.)

Introducing "Dorneyonline.com Newest HTML5 Simulation: Dorney Park's 'Dominator' !" 

News broke out from Martijn (webmaster/simulator creator of Themagical.nl) as the newest simulation for Dorneyonline.com after the successful simulation of "Steel Force®". 

We got the 'green-light' from Josh to announce this newest simulation since himself as well had some life changing experience in his family house hold too!  Josh is very pleased of the progress of this newest simulation and happy to share this with his community once we get an official launch date for this simulation.

This simulation has been developed with the HTML5 coding since the support of Adobe Flash Player will be no longer supported by 2020 (most browsers will stop using them by late December of 2020).  You'll be able to access this simulation on your smartphone/tablet devices as long the web browser can render HTML5 graphics.

The image below shows the progress development of the simulation.  Please note that this simulation graphic design may not reflect the final version once it's launch over at DorneyOnline.com .

Beta Testers Testing Simulation:  Progress !

Our beta testers has been doing lots of testing behind-the-scenes! They have been reporting their feedback and bug reports from this simulation.  

They been enjoying the experience so far and happy that soon the general public will experience this simulation 'real soon' !

Happy Fall Everyone and Beta News Update

Hello Friends,

Wishing all our friends "Happy Fall Ya'll" ! Fall has officially arrived and the summer season is now over (unless you go to somewhere tropical and warm, then you have an extended summer season feel. LOL).

As the weather changes to a colder crisper air, colorful leaves changing, and everything 'pumpkin spice'!

However you celebrate this time of year, have a wonderful 'Fall Season'!

Back in March of this year, I've made a tweet about our newest upcoming #HTML5 simulation that was in 'Blue Sky' phase.  Well, I'm happy to share with you some additional details with you.

Martijn and myself (Reighard) , made a decision on the newest simulation creation.  We decided that we will creating a new simulation for our partner site 'DorneyOnline.com' .

Josh Stauffer (webmaster at DorneyOnline.com / Simulation Creator) gave us the 'green-light' to proceed with our idea for his site.

Happy Memorial Day 2019 and #TMNewSim details

Introducing...Seven Dwarfs Mine Train HTML5 Simulation

Hello Friends!

Themagical team is happy to announce the newest#html5 simulation to be added for Themagical's website....

Introducing...Walt Disney World Resort "Seven Dwarfs Mine Train" simulation!

:: Moving Forward with #HTML5 ::

With moving forward with #HTLM5 development away from Adobe Flash program, this is the '2nd' simulation to be added for Themagical's website.

This allows us to reach more to our viewing audience who uses Apple/Android smartphones and tablet devices without the need of creating an additional application.  

Most of the newest smartphones / tablet devices can view #HTML5 creative content by using their mobile browsers via Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge which is a huge leap as technology continues to improve.

We are still migrating the other simulations over from Flash to #HTML5 but finding a proper application to keep intact the coding of the simulation is a bit challenging to find at the moment.  We are still searching for other options....

While the release of the simulation is now available to play, we will be still adding additional features for this simulation.

Keep in mind that we are doing this out of our free time during our regular work schedule and family activities.  We will be adding new features, UI tweaks, and bug fixes along the way.

Martijn is hard at work with the latest and newest #HTML5 simulation as we are progressing away from Adobe Flash Player (slowly).... He feels that currently the #TMNewSim is ready for testing before releasing to the general public.

Summer is over, beta news, ride sims, and more!

Hello Friends, 

Since the last posting with our special guest interview of general manager and v.p. of Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, PA ; it's been a crazy summer for myself and Themagical team.

We hope you all had a great summer vacation break and getting prepared for the new school year of 2016!  

We know that our younger audience may have already returned back to school/college universities and we wish all the best into the new school year!

Ride Sims.com ::

History of 'Ride Sims'

January 1, 2011 was the birth of 'Ride Sims' a sister site to TowerParksNerd.com . Since the opening of the site, they brought 4 simulations to life and over the past 4 years it grew to 41 simulations!!

Some of the simulations they created were: Jurassic Park: The Ride, Jaws: The Ride, Swarm, Ripsaw, and many more!

We had a special interview with  John Burton who were one of the team members that created the simulations on Ride Sims, click here to read the interview!

I wrote back of how gaming sites have come and gone offline on the internet.  I know many readers like myself have enjoyed these type of games and sadly they are no longer playable unless you find them somewhere on the internet. Click here to read the post!

:: August 12, 2016: Big Announcement in regards to Ride Sims ::

Here's the exact quote that was announced on Ride Sims Facebook Page: 

August 12, 2016 @ 7:47 am 

On the 1st January 2012 Ride Sims was revealed to the world. It included 9 simulations and over the last 4 years we’ve built that list up to a staggering 41!

Our community has grown and this has only been down to the support from all our supporters and fans encouraging us to develop more simulations.
If it wasn’t for you guys Ride Sims would never have been as big as it was.

Sadly though all good things must come to an end.
This is why with much regret we are announcing that, at the start of next month, we have made the decision to close Ride Sims indefinitely. This decision has been taken for a many number of reasons and this is the only option we have based on those. 

We understand this is not what a lot of you would like to hear and don’t get us wrong, we are sad to see it go too. But the time has come. From day 1 we knew it wouldn’t last forever. It was a place to show case and play, operating rides we love that we could share with you. Ride Sims’s popularity grew and since opening we’ve had 1,237,486 plays of our simulations to date! That’s quite a few!

So please enjoy the simulations for the next few weeks and get your Ride Sims fix. Once we’re gone be sure to check out our friend’s site www.themagical.nl who were one of the first flash simulation sites around and they inspired us to develop our very own sims. Now we’d love to see what you guys can do so we hope we have inspired YOU to go forward and have a go at doing these yourself.

From all of us here at Ride Sims we really hope we’ve inspired and given you an entertaining experience with us over the last 4 years! (May that be for a 5 minute spin playing The Smiler or a 5 hour streak of playing Test Track.)

:: Special Network with Ride Sims and Themagical.nl ::

As we spoke with John in an interview awhile back, "Themagical" was the website where he got inspired to create an online simulation website.  

The team of Themagical had several times chatted up with John and spoke about projects where we (Themagical) wouldn't be in competition with (Ride Sims) if we somehow brought a same simulation attraction to life.  The team over at Ride Sims had great respect to Themagical where they didn't want to cause conflict.

Themagical team thought it was nice that they took the time to see if Themagical was creating a similar simulation so they won't create the same one online. 

These talks not only created a nice friendship bond between sites but it also caused great creativity on both ends of the parties. 

 :: Beta News Update: Beta Testing Now Opening ::

Currently, the beta testing has been closed for awhile due to non-development of 'future' simulation. 

We've been testing out a HTML5 version of a current simulation to see the results if it would run the same as our HTML5 Soarin simulation.

Those results became unfruitful from our findings due to the support of the action script coding that is in the simulation.

If you haven't received an email from sdt@themagical.nl recently, don't worry beta testers.  Our email account has been having issues receiving and sending email from this address.  We have all the latest users on our list that is still active but any new users who tried to email sdt@themagical.nl last year or this year wasn't able to be received.

In the meanwhile, in the upcoming months we'll let you know how to sign up to our 'elite' list to test out our 'future' simulations.
