Summer is over, beta news, ride sims, and more!

Hello Friends,

Since the last posting with our special guest interview of general manager and v.p. of Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, PA ; it's been a crazy summer for myself and Themagical team.

We hope you all had a great summer vacation break and getting prepared for the new school year of 2016!

We know that our younger audience may have already returned back to school/college universities and we wish all the best into the new school year!

:: Recap of a recent closure of the online simulation community:
Ride Sims.com ::

History of 'Ride Sims'

January 1, 2011 was the birth of 'Ride Sims' a sister site to TowerParksNerd.com . Since the opening of the site, they brought 4 simulations to life and over the past 4 years it grew to 41 simulations!!

Some of the simulations they created were: Jurassic Park: The Ride, Jaws: The Ride, Swarm, Ripsaw, and many more!

We had a special interview with  John Burton who were one of the team members that created the simulations on Ride Sims, click here to read the interview!

I wrote back of how gaming sites have come and gone offline on the internet.  I know many readers like myself have enjoyed these type of games and sadly they are no longer playable unless you find them somewhere on the internet. Click here to read the post!

:: August 12, 2016: Big Announcement in regards to Ride Sims ::

Here's the exact quote that was announced on Ride Sims Facebook Page:

August 12, 2016 @ 7:47 am

On the 1st January 2012 Ride Sims was revealed to the world. It included 9 simulations and over the last 4 years we’ve built that list up to a staggering 41!

Our community has grown and this has only been down to the support from all our supporters and fans encouraging us to develop more simulations.
If it wasn’t for you guys Ride Sims would never have been as big as it was.

Sadly though all good things must come to an end.
This is why with much regret we are announcing that, at the start of next month, we have made the decision to close Ride Sims indefinitely. This decision has been taken for a many number of reasons and this is the only option we have based on those.

We understand this is not what a lot of you would like to hear and don’t get us wrong, we are sad to see it go too. But the time has come. From day 1 we knew it wouldn’t last forever. It was a place to show case and play, operating rides we love that we could share with you. Ride Sims’s popularity grew and since opening we’ve had 1,237,486 plays of our simulations to date! That’s quite a few!

So please enjoy the simulations for the next few weeks and get your Ride Sims fix. Once we’re gone be sure to check out our friend’s site www.themagical.nl who were one of the first flash simulation sites around and they inspired us to develop our very own sims. Now we’d love to see what you guys can do so we hope we have inspired YOU to go forward and have a go at doing these yourself.

From all of us here at Ride Sims we really hope we’ve inspired and given you an entertaining experience with us over the last 4 years! (May that be for a 5 minute spin playing The Smiler or a 5 hour streak of playing Test Track.)

Thank you for your support.

:: Special Network with Ride Sims and Themagical.nl ::

As we spoke with John in an interview awhile back, "Themagical" was the website where he got inspired to create an online simulation website.

The team of Themagical had several times chatted up with John and spoke about projects where we (Themagical) wouldn't be in competition with (Ride Sims) if we somehow brought a same simulation attraction to life.  The team over at Ride Sims had great respect to Themagical where they didn't want to cause conflict.

Themagical team thought it was nice that they took the time to see if Themagical was creating a similar simulation so they won't create the same one online.

These talks not only created a nice friendship bond between sites but it also caused great creativity on both ends of the parties.

:: Beta News Update: Beta Testing Now Opening ::

Currently, the beta testing has been closed for awhile due to non-development of 'future' simulation.

We've been testing out a HTML5 version of a current simulation to see the results if it would run the same as our HTML5 Soarin simulation.

Those results became unfruitful from our findings due to the support of the action script coding that is in the simulation.

If you haven't received an email from sdt@themagical.nl recently, don't worry beta testers.  Our email account has been having issues receiving and sending email from this address.  We have all the latest users on our list that is still active but any new users who tried to email sdt@themagical.nl last year or this year wasn't able to be received.

In the meanwhile, in the upcoming months we'll let you know how to sign up to our 'elite' list to test out our 'future' simulations.

Be sure to keep your eyes on our special hashtag: #TMNewSim on our social media accounts. To find them all, click under the 'social media' tab on Themagical's website.

:: Closing Remarks ::

Thank you for your support and reading this blog!

Until Then,

Themagical Team

Summer 2015: Back To School, HTML5, Beta News...OH MY!

Hey pals!

I'm so sorry for not making a post due to work and as well family outings this summer. We are having a great time this summer and we hope you are having a safe and enjoyable one as well.

Back to School!

It's that time again that school is around the corner that is about to begin or already has now in the states.

I really dislike when the summer time goes so fast and the winter season goes so terribly slow.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the seasons and winter as well but I love the summer time. I know most of you do too. ^^' (Am I right?)

Well, school session has now began and we hope you all do your best and perform well during this new school session. Study hard, get good grades and when you have free time you can visit us to wind down. ;)

Be safe and enjoy your time during this school year! :)

HTML 5: Simulations Future..??

By now you are getting annoyed of the reference of 'HTML 5' and 'Adobe Flash' in these postings.  It's a BIG DEAL when the site you've created back in December 1, 2000 may be ending support on browsers...(or all together).

As in the news recently last month, major social media outlets like Facebook, Google, Twitch, just to name a few want Adobe Flash to be discontinued.  Reason behind it is due to the security vulnerabilities can cause your computer to be compromised by an attacker.

Read Here:

http://www.theverge.com/2015/7/23/9019973/twitch-dropping-flash-controls-for-html5

The less and less support for Adobe Flash on devices and web browsers, will not only be able to view Flash content but also not able to play the simulations.

Since the debut of Soarin 'The First Of It's Kind On The Web Experience' has made a way to reach more users of mobile smartphone/tablet/mobile devices than ever before.  This is also a stepping stone for the team to learn the new coding of HTML 5.

This is a concern for the team for the future of Adobe Flash usage and support, we are embracing new ways to help bring a better experience to all.

Fall is approaching soon!

Hey There Friends!

I hope you are enjoying the remainder of your summer vacation break!   I think a few of our readers have already gone back to school already since in the United States is different times when students return back to school.

There is still time to enjoy the summer activities at some local amusement parks since they still operate in the fall/winter times.

We hope you had a great time this summer as the team is 'preparing' for a beta launch *coming this fall with Soarin.

Again, this is only *'forward-looking statements', which is prescribed as statements of upcoming projects, that may or may not come to past due to lack of free time, software glitches/bugs/crashes, data losses, delayed launch, etc...

We are looking forward on releasing more details on when we'll be doing 'beta' on Soarin as we get closer to finishing up coding cleaning up /performance tweaks.

Enjoy the rest of your summer! We'll talk more about Soarin this fall!

Until then,

Summer Over: Back to School

Hey all!

I trust you had a great summer 'staycation' (instead of vacation due to the ressions economy) this year and as well having fun with our current simulations.

I really dislike when the summer time goes so fast and the winter season goes so terribly slow.

Summer almost over?! :(

Hello everybody!

I trust you are having a great summer vacation break this year! Boy, let me tell you its been the hottest summer I had here in the longest time! I can recall the hottest summer where I live was back in 99!

This summer made HUGE hot weather records and as well been several times bad thunder storms too! I know I was able to spend time in the sun with my family and doing some summer trips.

Surprisingly, summer is almost coming to a closed. Back to school sessions at retail shops are in FULL gear and already seeing some school districts are about to start their sessions as well. Usually about the second last week of this month, colleges and schools will be in session where most of the children/young adults head back from summer break.

I've been seeing more 'Back to School' ads in Newspapers, Online Ads, and TV ads. I can feel for those who don't like school are already moaning of not returning back. LOL!

Anywho, we at Themagical trust you are having a great summer and thank you for your support by enjoying our simulations this summer!

We'll be keeping you up to date on the 'Steel Force Simulation' project as well to new upcoming simulations: Test Track, Soarin, and Millionaire Play It: Version 2 .

Until then,

DorneyOnline.com Simulation: Steel Force (update: 08/13/2010)

Last night I had a conversation with Tijn (founder/webmaster/simulation creator of Themagical) via IM and told me the things he was going through this month.

He recently got into a new position at his work place and with that in mind he's working the early shift in favor for his family and wife. Before he was working the nights which was making it harder on him and as well his family too.

So since he's working on the early shift he's been having hardly any time for personal enjoyment like simulation creation work. Which is the case that the Steel Force Simulation hasn't been worked on because of the things Tijn has been dealing with.

We want to make you guys aware that he's really wanting this simulation to be done and as well to move on to other projects like announced this summer disney's Test Track Simulation.

We appreciate your concern and patience for the understanding that Themagical Staff has other things to be taken care of like our work schedule and personal activities that we are doing this summer season.

Dorneyonline.com Simulation Page: NOW LIVE!

Towards the end of July, dorneyonline.com has revealed the new website design and as well the new Simulation page that we've been working on since june 09'!

You can view it here: http://www.dorneyonline.com/sims.php

Keep an eye there, our website, our blog, our twitter and facebook page when we announce the release of the Steel Force Simulation: Summer 2010!

I hope you guys are doing well and keep your eyes pealed for more updates later this year!

Until then,
