Happy Fall Everyone and Beta News Update

Hello Friends,

Wishing all our friends "Happy Fall Ya'll" ! Fall has officially arrived and the summer season is now over (unless you go to somewhere tropical and warm, then you have an extended summer season feel. LOL).

As the weather changes to a colder crisper air, colorful leaves changing, and everything 'pumpkin spice'!

However you celebrate this time of year, have a wonderful 'Fall Season'!

:: #TMNewSim details : Beta Testing Available Today ! ::

Back in March of this year, I've made a tweet about our newest upcoming #HTML5 simulation that was in 'Blue Sky' phase.  Well, I'm happy to share with you some additional details with you.

Martijn and myself (Reighard) , made a decision on the newest simulation creation.  We decided that we will creating a new simulation for our partner site 'DorneyOnline.com' .

Josh Stauffer (webmaster at DorneyOnline.com / Simulation Creator) gave us the 'green-light' to proceed with our idea for his site.

Any Thoughts what it could be??

Our beta testers are getting their hands on this newest upcoming simulation today!  They will be testing this simulation and catching those pesky bugs/glitches!

We appreciate their help on getting this simulation ready for the general public and of course their suggestions to make this simulation a better experience.

Follow their feedback and comments by follow our official hashtag: #TMNewSim on the social platforms!

If you are looking to join our 'beta testing' group, make sure you read all our requirements by clicking here: http://randydorney.blogspot.com/p/beta-testing-qa.html

If you met our requirements or have any additional questions, please send me an email at sdt_themagical@outlook.com  .

Happy Fall Everyone!

Happy Fall Everyone!

The first day of fall was on Saturday September 22, 2018 , which means 'summer' has officially come to an end here in the States.

How was your summer? What did you do over the summer vacation break?  We hope you enjoyed it and looking forward to the fall season activities.

With the fall of leaves and the cool crisp temperatures during the day, this is where I bring out my favorite hoodie or sweater and drink some Apple cider or Hot Chocolate.

What are your favorite fall activities that you enjoy?

Have a great fall season!

Summer is over, beta news, ride sims, and more!

Hello Friends,

Since the last posting with our special guest interview of general manager and v.p. of Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, PA ; it's been a crazy summer for myself and Themagical team.

We hope you all had a great summer vacation break and getting prepared for the new school year of 2016!

We know that our younger audience may have already returned back to school/college universities and we wish all the best into the new school year!

:: Recap of a recent closure of the online simulation community:
Ride Sims.com ::

History of 'Ride Sims'

January 1, 2011 was the birth of 'Ride Sims' a sister site to TowerParksNerd.com . Since the opening of the site, they brought 4 simulations to life and over the past 4 years it grew to 41 simulations!!

Some of the simulations they created were: Jurassic Park: The Ride, Jaws: The Ride, Swarm, Ripsaw, and many more!

We had a special interview with  John Burton who were one of the team members that created the simulations on Ride Sims, click here to read the interview!

I wrote back of how gaming sites have come and gone offline on the internet.  I know many readers like myself have enjoyed these type of games and sadly they are no longer playable unless you find them somewhere on the internet. Click here to read the post!

:: August 12, 2016: Big Announcement in regards to Ride Sims ::

Here's the exact quote that was announced on Ride Sims Facebook Page:

August 12, 2016 @ 7:47 am

On the 1st January 2012 Ride Sims was revealed to the world. It included 9 simulations and over the last 4 years we’ve built that list up to a staggering 41!

Our community has grown and this has only been down to the support from all our supporters and fans encouraging us to develop more simulations.
If it wasn’t for you guys Ride Sims would never have been as big as it was.

Sadly though all good things must come to an end.
This is why with much regret we are announcing that, at the start of next month, we have made the decision to close Ride Sims indefinitely. This decision has been taken for a many number of reasons and this is the only option we have based on those.

We understand this is not what a lot of you would like to hear and don’t get us wrong, we are sad to see it go too. But the time has come. From day 1 we knew it wouldn’t last forever. It was a place to show case and play, operating rides we love that we could share with you. Ride Sims’s popularity grew and since opening we’ve had 1,237,486 plays of our simulations to date! That’s quite a few!

So please enjoy the simulations for the next few weeks and get your Ride Sims fix. Once we’re gone be sure to check out our friend’s site www.themagical.nl who were one of the first flash simulation sites around and they inspired us to develop our very own sims. Now we’d love to see what you guys can do so we hope we have inspired YOU to go forward and have a go at doing these yourself.

From all of us here at Ride Sims we really hope we’ve inspired and given you an entertaining experience with us over the last 4 years! (May that be for a 5 minute spin playing The Smiler or a 5 hour streak of playing Test Track.)

Thank you for your support.

:: Special Network with Ride Sims and Themagical.nl ::

As we spoke with John in an interview awhile back, "Themagical" was the website where he got inspired to create an online simulation website.

The team of Themagical had several times chatted up with John and spoke about projects where we (Themagical) wouldn't be in competition with (Ride Sims) if we somehow brought a same simulation attraction to life.  The team over at Ride Sims had great respect to Themagical where they didn't want to cause conflict.

Themagical team thought it was nice that they took the time to see if Themagical was creating a similar simulation so they won't create the same one online.

These talks not only created a nice friendship bond between sites but it also caused great creativity on both ends of the parties.

 :: Beta News Update: Beta Testing Now Opening ::

Currently, the beta testing has been closed for awhile due to non-development of 'future' simulation.

We've been testing out a HTML5 version of a current simulation to see the results if it would run the same as our HTML5 Soarin simulation.

Those results became unfruitful from our findings due to the support of the action script coding that is in the simulation.

If you haven't received an email from sdt@themagical.nl recently, don't worry beta testers.  Our email account has been having issues receiving and sending email from this address.  We have all the latest users on our list that is still active but any new users who tried to email sdt@themagical.nl last year or this year wasn't able to be received.

In the meanwhile, in the upcoming months we'll let you know how to sign up to our 'elite' list to test out our 'future' simulations.

Be sure to keep your eyes on our special hashtag: #TMNewSim on our social media accounts. To find them all, click under the 'social media' tab on Themagical's website.

:: Closing Remarks ::

Thank you for your support and reading this blog!

Until Then,

Themagical Team

Hey Friends,

Yes, its the time of year again (for those who follow 'daylight savings time' in the United States) where we turn back our clocks back 1 hour behind.

=====

Daylight Saving Time (United States) 2013 began at 2:00 AM on
Sunday, March 10
and ends at 2:00 AM on
Sunday, November 3

=====

For those who forget what to do when these times happen, remember:
'Spring Forward - Fall Back'.

:: Soarin News: Starting up 'Beta Testers Group' ::

As you've last recall, we've announced the 'LIVE' page over at Themagical for our upcoming simulation 'Soarin'.

If you haven't, here's the direct link to it:

Right now, we are taking requests for being part of our 'beta testers group'.  We've made a post about the new requirements that you must follow in order to participate the testing.

We do this periodically so others who haven't got a chance to test the latest simulation project can get there chance.

If you are new to the group or want to read up on the requirements, be sure to click on the link here: http://randydorney.blogspot.com/p/beta-testing-qa.html

Any questions on the 'beta testing', be sure to email me at: sdt@themagical.nl

Fall is approaching soon!

Hey There Friends!

I hope you are enjoying the remainder of your summer vacation break!   I think a few of our readers have already gone back to school already since in the United States is different times when students return back to school.

There is still time to enjoy the summer activities at some local amusement parks since they still operate in the fall/winter times.

We hope you had a great time this summer as the team is 'preparing' for a beta launch *coming this fall with Soarin.

Again, this is only *'forward-looking statements', which is prescribed as statements of upcoming projects, that may or may not come to past due to lack of free time, software glitches/bugs/crashes, data losses, delayed launch, etc...

We are looking forward on releasing more details on when we'll be doing 'beta' on Soarin as we get closer to finishing up coding cleaning up /performance tweaks.

Enjoy the rest of your summer! We'll talk more about Soarin this fall!

Until then,

Reighard

Fall is now HERE!

Hey Everybody!

Fall is "OFFICIALLY" here! The summer season has now came to a close as leaves are now changing colors, weather getting cooler outside, and fall produce are now ready for harvesting.

Do you like the fall time? Is there any of your favorite things you like to do during the fall? What about your favorite fall meals you like to enjoy?

::Simulation Updates::

SOARIN:

As you already know of the progress of the newest FIRST-OF-ITS-Kind HTML5 simulation "Soarin" from the recent postings on our Facebook page from team member Josh:

Quote: "Soarin' update! For the past two months I've been trying to resolve a roadblock I hit in my code related to getting people to sit down in their seats. After a lot of thought and adjustment, I think I have finally resolved the issue. Hopefully this means I can finally start moving forward again!" - Josh (August 19, 2012)

Though no new information about the simulation has arise since then. We've been getting emails about the possible 'beta testing' of this simulation, even though we aren't taking any requests at this time for it.

We'll keep you posted on details on that once we feel its 'beta-ready' to be tested.

Epcot's TEST TRACK:

We've been in stand-by mode (Blue Sky Phase Development) since the announcement of 'Soarin' simulation development in favor of releasing a faster simulation creation with the new format of HTML5.

We've haven't abandon this simulation nor its progress of this simulation at all. We feel 'Soarin' simulation will
help us stand out from the rest as being the first simulation to be able to play on your portable devices like Android, iOS devices, Gaming Consoles, etc...

Though this new format is a learning curve due to its being a new interactive element that is now being the 'NEW' web standard for interactivity with it not using Adobe's Flash.

::Community Feedback::

We've been recently getting feedback from our community members/readers with our progress on our simulation development.

Here's our responses to them:

Q.) Why has it been taking so LONG for creating an simulation??

A.) Simulation creations usually take about 1 year or 1 1/2 years to develop in general. We do this creation process on our 'free' time in our daily schedules. Based on this, it can slow down or even halt on developments due to work, family, emergencies, etc....

Q.) If it takes so long, hired more people to your team. Can I join the team??

A.) Currently, Josh, Martijn and myself is the entire development team. We don't get paid for our creations nor our time on these developments. Programming in Adobe Flash and/or in HTML5 takes time and as well skill to do these games. We look for people who have STRONG knowledge of these programs so that we can make this development process fast but still have the quality of detail in each simulation we create. We aren't currently looking to add to our team at this time.

Q.) Don't you guys get paid for these simulations or a company that can endorsed you guys?

 A.) We don't make money from these simulations or get paid to create these simulations. Due to the copyrights on these simulations, it will be against the copyright holders terms of use agreements to make any money from these simulations.  We know Disney is watching our site and we have good terms with them based of our simulations creations. We won't be allowed to be sponsored by an company to create simulations because how sensitive the material we create is copyrighted names, likeness, audio, logos, etc...

::Closing Thoughts::

 Thank you again for reading this post! We are sad that summer came by so fast again another season but there's always next season!

Have a great fall season!
