Twitter Update: New Simulation ??!

Hello Friends!

I've got great news for you!  I guess I got the 'green light' from Martijn (Founder/Webmaster/Simulation Creation) that I can announce on our blog.

=====

  Twitter Update Stats: (Twitter.com/Themagical
* As of 03.11.2013 EDT (GMT -5 hours)

- "Busy weeks, but managed to work on a new project, already implemented some basic animations. Release still Q4 (hopefully)"

=====

 ::Confused??::

Now many of you are asking yourself "Wait a second....!? I thought you were already working on another simulation?? What happened to Test Track simulation, wasn't that next on the list?" etc....

Ok, ...Ok.  Let me explain.  Martijn and the team look over the many suggestions you've have asked us in the past and still currently via email, facebook and twitter.

We have placed those into consideration and made an "OFFICIAL" list that we want to do right after the launch of an simulation.  With that in mind, we pick the best simulation that we think the community and people of the internet would enjoy playing (also for hours on end! LOL!)

Let's tackle some questions you've could be asking or about to email us.

Q 1) I thought you were already working on another simulation???

A 1) Yes, we are currently working on one already which is Soarin.

Q 2) What happened to Test Track simulation, wasn't that next on the list?

A 2) Yes it was. But due to the high demand of the 'Steel Force Simulation' progress, we had to focus on all our energy on completing this simulation for our partnership site 'dorneyonline.com' .  From this, we didn't make any progress on development since it was ONLY in "Blue Sky Phase".

Q 3) What does this "Blue Sky Phase"?? You keep on telling us this for a long time.

A 3) 'Blue Sky Phase' or the word 'Blue Sky' is a term that the Disney Imagineers go through every single time when they start on a new project(s). During this phase, the sky is the limit. There's no such thing as bad ideas, by which these ideas help on how to bring the story to life through the blend of creativity and technical know-how.

Q 4) Have the 'beta testers' got a sneak peak at this new simulation?

A 4) At this time of writing this could change. I haven't gotten word from Martijn to disclosed this to our 'e-lite beta testing group' as of yet. So the best answer is 'no' for the time being.

Q 5) Does this mean that 'Test Track' won't be the next one after Soarin?

A 5) As I mentioned before in a previous post, Test Track will be stand-by mode until Martijn comes back from his vacation this summer to Walt Disney World.  He will be riding the new updated version of the ride to fully experience it and as well feel what direction should the simulation be by version 1.0 or 2.0 .  You can read our posting about the 'stand-by delay' of Test Track here

Q 6) I notice Q4 release (hopefully) for new simulation. What does "Q4" means?

Q 6) Q4 represent an industry standard when it comes to business model's projections, special announcements, product releases, etc...

There's 4 quarters that the business industries follow: Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4.  Each quarter represents several months of the whole calendar year as follows:

Q1 (First Quarter):  January, February and March
Q2 (Second Quarter): April, May and June
Q3 (Third Quarter):  July, August and September
Q4 (Fourth Quarter): October, November and December

More information on how these quarters are represented, click here!

::Closing Thoughts::

Still got questions for us?  Email us at: sdt@themagical.nl

I'll answer the best of my ability that I can (with permission of course by Martijn) on your questions you may have.  If I feel your question is much needed to be shared to our community readers, I'll post it up on my next posting.

We feel that there may be some disappointment among you.  Please understand this was based on Martijn on the direction he feels about Test Track at the park, so he can experience the ride for himself.

We'll leak more details, so STAY TUNED!

Until Then,

Spring Forward March 10, 2013

Hello my fellow blog readers!

As the signs of spring is almost around the corner, daylight rising early in the morning and birds chirping in the early morning.

By now, (*you've may been late to appointment(s)/church/work/etc... if you didn't change your clock ahead) should of moved your clocks ahead "1 hour" due to the daylight savings time.

On March 9/10, 2013 at the stroke of midnight there was a short announcement on almost all media outlets, but even then I heard some confusion, as to which way the clocks must be adjusted, so for those who might still find it difficult to remember the system, learn a simple cheat code Spring Forward – Fall Back.

In April which is around the spring season you adjust your clocks one hour forward, while in October which is the fall season you adjust your clocks one hour backward. Hence Spring Forward & Fall Back Do yourself and your family a favor, take round of your entire house and tweak all the clocks that you see, cell phones and also adjusting computer clocks (some computers automatically changes their settings via clock settings on your PC/Mac/Linux).

 Why, when, who, and what is daylight savings time and what's the reason we change our clocks every year and during the year? Click here for more information!

Starting in the spring of 2007, daylight saving time (DST) start and end dates for the United States will transition to comply with the Energy Policy Act of 2005. DST dates in the United States will start three weeks earlier, at 2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March. DST will end one week later, at 2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November.

The update that this article describes changes the time zone data to account for the DST change for the United States. This update also includes other DST-related changes, time zone-related changes, and settings-related changes. Some of these changes will occur in 2007. Some of these changes have occurred since the products that are listed in the "Applies To" section were originally released. The update that this article describes is a cumulative update rollup that includes all the changes that were previously released in Microsoft Knowledge Base articles 928388 and 929120. This update also describes some additional changes since the last cumulative update in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 928388.

 For more information about how daylight saving time changes may affect other Microsoft products, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

Note
 When you apply this update, you may receive the following message:

 "Update cannot be installed as a newer or same time zone update has already been installed on the system."

This message indicates that you have already applied the correct update or that Windows Updates or Microsoft Update has automatically installed this update. No additional action is required to update your Windows operating system software.

Those running Windows Vista/7/8 , should see an 'alert warning' if you click on the 'clock' on the taskbar stating the "Daylight Savings Time" affected date. (Example image below)

:: SOARIN UPDATES ::

"Quick update on Soarin'. Progress has been moving slow the past few months since I moved into a new house. That's been a lot of work. Work on Soarin' has been slow, but not stopped. I'm closed to finishing the hard part of designing and writing the peep engine code. I'm hoping I can start debugging is soon." ~ Josh Stauffer  Feb.24, 2013

Though at this point of writing the post the graphic element UI (User Interface) hasn't changed.  It could change to enhanced the gaming experience overall feel.

We'll give you the latest updates here and as well over at our "Facebook Group Page", link mentioned below.

CONTESTS !

Ok, since now I've got your attention let me break down the details about 'upcoming contests' that you have a chance to enjoy.

In the past contests, we have giving our users a chance to win a special 'beta-test' version of the latest project(s) for Themagical.nl and/or Dorneyonline.com .

We'll be still continuing that since the high demand of playing for them. But we also been testing running the contest plug-in element over at Themagical.

In October 2012, we announced an "Phantom Mansion" simulation contest. Though it went well of testing aspect, it didn't go well as to user interactivity that we'd hoped.

Which brings me to my next point, in the very near future contest we are hoping to bring 'PRIZES' into the mix.

Some prizes could be a Disney DVD Movies, Disney Merchandise, Books, Gift Cards, etc...

More details will be coming soon and will be 'updated' at our Official page on this blog. Be sure to click on the top link that reads "Contests"!

I'm happy to announce I'll be doing a new segment for this podcast for each week.

Though I'm still working on with "dapsmagic.com" for the upcoming revamp of "Late Nite with Randy" radio show.

This new segment will be discussing all-Disney multimedia within the Walt Disney Company. Ranging from gaming apps, gaming devices, interactive elements at Disney Parks and more!

My debut is on show #33 ! (To listen to my segment, I'm towards the end of the show.)

This is a great site and as well a great podcast that specializes in top celebrities from your favorite Disney Movies!

You can check it out at http://www.dizradio.com/
